I think I’m realizing the greatest issue with doing
something like this for lent. It doesn’t
really allow me the time to produce much quality, but on the brighter side I’m
producing something and I’m getting used to using my technologies for whatever
purpose but I’m at odds with it as I’m also trying to put out something of
relatively good quality. I’ve been
recording as usual but I’m not entirely impressed with what I’ve been
making. What I’ve put out so far has
been ok, I guess, but I want to excel and do better, to continuously improve until
it becomes something more interesting. I’ve
been playing with the idea of animation or some kind of “Extra Credits” style
video but that’s a week (at least) of work and I’m going for daily updates so
it’s hard. I’ll have to choose, whether
I want to continue experimenting with what I have, creating low quality mass
creation, or change it up and put at least some effort in, creating maybe one
video a week. I would like to lean
towards the former, I think that’s where this was ultimately going but I can’t
shake the idea that I’m shirking the original 40 day thing. I don’t need to create super ultra-amazing
videos or even half way pretty ok videos, just some kind of content in the
hopes that the practice leads to something greater.
For now I’ll keep at it, but I’m really looking forward to
it being over and taking up a nice weekly routine afterwards. Maybe I’ll do some comics for a few days,
yeah….
